The Munich trade fair BAU takes place every two years. Since 1964, this showcase for architecture, materials and systems in the construction industry has become the world's most important event of its kind. More than 2,000 traders from around the world present in 17 halls and on outdoor areas their products and services all relating to the construction industry. Materials, techniques and concepts are presented also.
The BAU trade fair Munich: energy efficient buildings are the latest trend
The trends in the construction industry were always set during this trade fair. Currently, a major focus is on energy efficient buildings, insulation materials and intelligent building technology. The layout of the exhibition depends on materials such as stones and soil, wood and ceramics, iron and steel. Both, industry and the building construction for exterior and interior structure are present. The trade fair aims at an audience of event planners and architects, contractors and project developers, builders' merchants and craftsmen as well as to investors and representatives of the real estate industry.
